Sustainability and the Community

Waste reduction, renewable energy and giving back to the community are all very important to me. I volunteer with local food banks and non-profit organizations at least once a month. Before my next decade, I’d love to be a part of an international mission in helping those who may be less fortunate.

New, with a Hint of Old

As much as I love updating spaces, not everything needs to be replaced. I appreciate sentimental elements and strive to incorporate them in the new design. Old can be beautiful!

Habitat for Humanity

Kitchen cabinets, appliances and fixtures from my projects are donated to Habitat for Humanity, when possible. It’s not uncommon for me to find individuals to give extra building materials or gently used goods so less ends up in the dumpster.

Office Decommission

My collaboration with an office decommission company in 2020 and 2021 helped divert over 300 office chairs, many desks, shelves, furniture and countless office goods out of the landfill. Most of the items retrieved were given to local organizations, schools, businesses and individuals. Other items, such as microscopes, whiteboards and metal cabinets, have been shipped to health clinics around the world - thanks to the brilliant work of Project C.U.R.E. I continue to serve with these endeavors whenever possible.
